About Free and Easy Clearance
House clearance is not Rocket science. Even stupid people do it. What makes us better is that we do it for free. Using WhatsApp live or recorded video we can save you and your clients a lot of fuss. No need for meetings or house visits. Either you or one of our team produce a detailed video and we go from there.
At Free and Easy Clearance, We help executors and solicitors deal with a deceased chattels.
Who are we
Free and easy is the idea of Stephen Nunn. He has worked with solicitors and estate agents for 22 years and carried out hundreds of house clearances. He still is a consultant with Script Clearance and Sarah's House clearance. Formally a country vicar, prison chaplain and funeral taker his bi-polar forced to take on something practical. After two decades of house clearance he has decided that his humping days are over !!!. He is now working with colleagues across the UK in this new approach to House Clearance. Stephens approach is aimed at those clients who find being an executor a struggle. This could be because of distance, temperament, grief, incapacity, business or laziness.

What we do with the chattels
Once legal beneficiaries have claimed thier inheritance , saleable items in the property will be sold by us in order to pay for the disposal of unsalable .
The unsaleable will be taken to the nearest recycling centre where will pay hundreds of pounds to have it legally dealt with.
Photographs and personal letters will be stored by us for a year and then disposed of
Some items will be taken to charity shops.

How do we make our money
Based on 22 years of experience We are confident that in 80% of clearances that the value of the saleable items will outweigh the cost of disposal of the unsaleable.
We cut costs but never corners.
The contract
1/ The items that we see in the video are the items that we clear.
Should they not be there when we come to clear we will have to make a charge.
Likewise if we discover extra items that are unusable we will have to make a charge.
2/Our service does not include removing carpets, curtains, items fixed to the wall and asbestos. Should these items need to be removed we will have to make a charge.
3/ it has been out experience that with kind intent neighbours, carers and family are given an opportunity to take something in memory of the deceased. This is good and right. However if this is done after the video adjustment will need to be made and we would ask that a list or photos of the items removed be made.
Neighbours and carers tend to take things of the highest value.
4/ once an agreement has been made we would ask that local key holders be asked to return keys and encouraged not to enter the property. We also find it helpful if interested neighbours be informed that the contents of the property must not be removed as it forms part of a contract which if broken will cause a charge on the estate.
We reserve the right to pull out of any contract if we think we are being messed about with.
